 Deliver the production configuration to the VA Benefits Portfolio. Employ standard methods of communication, change management, configuration management, testing, and implementation to ensure OI&T products are effectively delivered and inter-operable as designed. Ensure that Veterans and VA staff access technology that works because it has been reviewed, tested and approved before release to the field. This position requires attention to detail, excellent customer service and willingness to learn new skills and competencies.


** Associates Degree * 2 years related experience.

** Advanced skills working with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)


* Ability to obtain Security Clearance



  • Coordinate planning, scheduling, testing and deployment of desktop and server application and configuration changes with developers, SIO techs, technical support team and Software Quality Assurance (SQA) testers in the PreProd environment.
  • Monitor, update, and facilitate Application Turnover Transmittal routing in Micro Focus Solutions Business Manager (SBM) for coordinated installs
  • Coordinate with remote sites for continuity prior to releasing nationwide installations.
  • Act as the Release Coordinator in the release of all VBA Business Lines Applications for Loan Guaranty, Insurance, Compensation, Pension & Fiduciary, Education, Vocation and Rehabilitation.
  • Coordinate with the Alpha and Beta sites for continuity prior to releasing nationwide installations.
  • Ensure questions and concerns from regional offices, which perform testing for the Coordinated Installs, are routed to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Reviews software change requests and required documentation for accuracy and completeness to prevent any delays in processing the changes.
  • Verify with the Hines Terminal Server Team, that applications are the correct versions and that all documentation is updated and accurate.
  • Consult with developers on all application changes for Veterans Benefits prior to conducting a Coordinated Install.
  • Monitoring release deadlines with VA Project Manager (PM), Developers and Testers.
